Mr. Moon

Dedicated, for my daughter, Serena

Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,
Where did you go?
Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,
where did you go?

Earlier today when I was playing outside,
I lifted my head
and I looked to the sky.
I looked over here and I looked over there,
Mr. Moon,
I didn't see you anywhere?

Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,
Where did you go?
Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,
where did you go?

During the day I play under the sun,
I feel her warmth and I have lots of fun,
but I like it best,
when right before bed,
Mom or Dad take me by the hand,
we walk outside under a blanket of stars,
I look up and there you are.

Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,
I see you there,
Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,
I'll blow you a kiss from here.
